Description

A wise philosopher once said, "There's no such thing as a bad eulogy" and we deliver on the podcast!
Ryan Andrews opens with another bit of appreciation for John Gibbons in his final home game as manager of the Toronto Blue Jays. The host celebrates what turned into "Gibbons Day" and everything that made the Texan as endearing as he was. Jon Berti, Reese McGuire, Randal Grichuk and Billy McKinney also get nods for helping make the day positive at the plate.
The pitchers get the spotlight next, with all seven arms getting shoutouts. From Sean Reid-Foley's efficient performance, to Joe Biagini's extra effort, to Ryan Tepera's grittiness and Ken Giles' pure fire against his former club, the pitchers did a great job corralling a weakened Houston lineup. Andrews appreciates the effort.
The final segment looks ahead to the Tampa Bay series and the final starts of the season for Thomas Pannone and Ryan Borucki. Andrews thanks the rookies for providing some needed stability to the rotation and talks about how their solidness will help next year when the bats come up to the big leagues.
