Description
It is a sombre Fan Friday edition of the podcast, as Ryan Mueller and Ryan Andrews bid a fond farewell to Steve Pearce.
The two assess what he will mean to Blue Jays fans and what this means for the team moving forward. They also assess the likelihood of contributions from the prospect acquired, shortstop Santiago Espinal.
Ryan Goins is also briefly mentioned after his recent DFA from Kansas City, and praise is given to Aledmys Diaz and Yangervis Solarte for not being him.
In the second half, the pair take a look at fan grades for the 2018 season at the midway point, and what the team can do to improve their standing, primarily via trade. J.A. Happ, Marco Estrada, Curtis Granderson and Ryan Tepera are discussed as trade options.
Mueller closes with his thoughts on the future of Ryan Borucki with the Blue Jays.
This episode is dedicated to the memory of the slain members of the Capital Gazette family in Annapolis, Maryland.
Special thanks to @KJAK14, @Flames_Jays_83, @brightskies99 and @DTSB_98 for their contributions, to @Lesley_NOPE for being THE #1 Steve Pearce fan and to @_rallycap for his efforts to make #BlueJays Twitter a better place.
