The Cardinals are on pace for a 162-0 season after an 11-6 win over the Cincinnati Reds. There are a TON of positives after this win, mainly the offense and the bullpen. St. Louis exploded for 6 runs in the first innings, highlighted by a 3-run home run by Dylan Carlson. The other highlight came in the 4th inning via a 2-run shot by Tyler O'Neill. The bullpen, more specifically Tyler Webb, Ryan Helsley, Genesis Cabrera, Giovanny Gallegos and Alex Reyes pitched scoreless baseball to close it out. Baseball is a marathon, but the Cardinals got off on the right foot with a dominating win today.
