First base was mainly handled by Paul Goldschmidt for the St. Louis Cardinals in 2020, and luckily for them, he produced like he used to back in Arizona. Goldy returned to form after a questionable first year in St. Louis, having his highest average total since 2015, and his slash line being the best since 2015 or 2016. He was the one guy in the lineup that the other team circled, and he was the one guy that really produced from day one.
