Jon is also the cohost of the Horror Vanguard Podcast, and recent author of  the text Theology, Horror and Fiction out on Bloomsbury press. Today, Jon joins us to discuss the prospects for a 'Gothic' Marxism, one that recognizes the monstrous in capital and the people whom capital monsters in its drive for infinite accumulation. We discuss the figure of the monster, the return of the repressed trauma of capital in the sphere of contemporary horror culture, and what it means to stand in solidarity with the monstrous and the profane.
