Description

Ivy Chow is the founder of I.C. Movement Project.  I.C. Movement Project is a contemporary ballet company motivated to tell truths through the use of professional dancers, designers and artists. Led by Artistic Director and choreographer, Ivy Chow to join the ranks of female choreographic voices. Designed to be project based in the ever transient city of Washington, D.C. As an advocate for the voice of women in the arts, I.C. Movement Project takes advantage of being in the nation’s capital to transcend ideas into action.  The mission is to share and educate audiences on the empowering expression of dance that will enrich diverse audiences in the greater Washington, DC area.

Ivy shares how the lack of female representation in the dance industry has led her to create her own movement to create equality in the industry.
