One of the best cricket books of the last year or so has to be "The Unforgiven", which is about the tale of the West Indian cricketers who went on the rebel tours to South Africa during the Apartheid era. Whereas English players who did the same thing returned home and resumed their careers - in some cases reaching the highest levels of the game - the West Indies guys were treated as outcasts, both within the game and also in society. We spoke to writer Ashley Gray about his excellent book, where he tells the often painful stories of those players who took the South African Rand in the hope of earning some money from the game of cricket.
