Atomic Love is Jennie Fields’s fifth novel, and it tells the beautiful love story of a scientist in 1950’s Chicago, working on the Manhattan Project while carrying on a passionate affair with her colleague. As with all author interviews that involve Emily and an author from the Chicagoland area, we kick things off with some deep dish pizza talk. That’s followed by a fascinating discussion about all things science, the atomic bomb, book research, and the current state of the world through the eyes of Atomic Love’s main character, Rosalind.
