I relate today's story with the admission that I will lack any resemblance of objectivity and scientific neutrality in my broadcast. There is bias in any story told by human beings, including those that attempt scientific objectivity. The observable facts may be objective but the very topics of study and the ultimate goals of research represent personal interests and human morality. Objectivity exists to the degree scientists can stand outside, as it were, from the subject of their interest. I could not, in any reasonable manner, stand objective as I watched the hate filled and intellectually empty Republican Convention.  I listened as members of his campaign called for the death of Hillary Clinton and as a mob chanted "lock her up." I was filled with fear and anger listening to Trump, the now Presidential Candidate and leader of what used to be the Republican Party call for "law and order" that only he could deliver!  I will reprise the themes of my recently broadcast stories such as the reemergence of tribalism, the search for a warrior leader who can protect the tribe from all enemies as well as holy men who can morally justify any and all steps to purify and protect loyal and obedient members of the tribe to create a context to my discussion that goes beyond simply calling Trump and his minions names that pretend to explain what I believe to be the possible death of Democracy in my beloved country. My goal in this broadcast is to convince my listeners to take seriously Trump as a possible dictator who will seek to destroy personal liberties and institute state control over our very lives and that we must all vote our consciences and speak up loudly as citizens of an endagered Domocracy.
