Description
Our citizens, including children are being inundated with stories of intense unremitting violence. Sadisitic villains who fit the definition of monsters torture, maim and mutilate while creating a justifications for the "good guys" to torture and slaughter the villains. There is no mercy shown by any of the characters at any time or on any level. At the same time millions of children and adults play for hours with video game steeped in violence. The line between fantasy and reality becomes blurred by constant news stories of violence and sadism here in America and overseas in such places as Syria and broad swatches of Africa and Asia. There seems no widespread counterstories as politicians and citizens alike fail to shout about rights detached from responsibilites, individual needs unrelated to the needs of the group and society at large. Our religious leaders are either silent or call for more prayer in the face of social deterioration. The Mental Health system suggests that druga are the answer.
