Brandon Marcello knew something was cooking with Gus Malzahn when the coach went silent on him last week after exchanging text messages. Sure enough, Malzahn was introduced Monday as UCF's next coach, where he's being hailed as an upgrade over the departed Josh Heupel. If Malzahn is as fresh as he says, and if UCF is changing their scheduling strategy, then perhaps he's in the perfect place to hunt a Playoff appearance.
