Derik Martin was born Diane. He knew in his heart at a very young age that he was gay. In recent months, Derik decided to take hormones and had top surgery to begin the transition of becoming a male. Derik also happens to be someone that loves obstacle races. Many questions are being raised about trans athletes. We as an industry need to look at these issues and address them.
