Description
Quick question...who's the nicest person to ever play in the NHL? The answer is actually Colton Parayko but Pierre Turgeon might be second on the list. He's also a sick hockey player who played more than 1,200 NHL games after being selected first overall in the 1987 draft. Many believe Turgeon belongs in the Hall of Fame and he has the numbers to back it up. Over 500 goals and more than 800 assists should qualify, no? Turgeon became a star in Buffalo before moving on to Captain the Montreal Canadiens. He'd eventually play 5 seasons in St. Louis where he helped lead the Blues to the Western Conference Final in 2001. Turgeon was the recipient of arguably the dirtiest hit in NHL history in 1993 thanks to Dale Hunter. The hit basically ended Turgeon's and the New York Islanders' playoff hopes who lost to Montreal in the Conference final. Does Turgeon forgive Hunter? What about the 1987 World Junior Championships brawl between Canada and Russia? Did he really stay on the bench while the rest of the team fought a Russian player? Fact or Fiction? Listen in and hear from one of the most underrated NHL stars in recent memory.
