Description

Welcome to another episode of Take the Black, Winter is Coming’s Game of Thrones podcast. This week, we are joined by Dan Selke and Richard Preston, and of course, the lovely Sarah is there are well, as we recap Game of Thrones season 7, episodes 1-4.

Our topics:
We all agreed the cold open in the premiere episode, "Dragonstone," was the best one in the entire series. We also agree that Jon and Sansa should have talked before meeting with the Northern Lords, as their arguing openly made them look foolish.Euron Greyjoy was a surprising delight, especially after his dull appearance in season 6.Sarah really liked the poop montage.During episode 702, "Stormborn," Corey Smith and Sarah talk about grumpy Daenerys. We all loved the war room scene at Dragonstone, as it was extremely empowering for women to have the leaders of each force to be a woman.Again, Jon and Sansa arguing in public was foolhardy. We loved the cinematography and amazing action from that action packed Greyjoy sea battle.Episode 703, "The Queen's Justice" was neat and so too was the first ever meeting of Dany and Jon.Sansa proved herself to be a fine regent of the North, in Jon's absence. The highpoint of the episode was Diana Rigg as Olenna Tyrel going out like a boss. "Tell Cersei. I want her to know it was me."In episode 704, "The Spoils of War," Bran came home and had a very muted reunion with Sansa. We all agree the high point, obviously was "The Loot Train Battle," and we discuss it in detail.
