Description

In this episode, The Bearded Mystic Podcast discusses the 4th chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, specifically verses 1 - 8.  Sri Krishna establishes the ancient aspect of his wisdom and explains how the teaching is passed down and then how it gets lost, it loses its value. Society transforms and changes. Sri Krishna explains that this highest teaching is shared and beautifully understood through a deep friendship. Arjuna’s question of how Krishna gave this knowledge to the Deva of the Sun millions of years ago is logical and asks this before anyone can doubt it. Sri Krishna explains that both himself and arjuna have had many incarnations on this planet but as Sri Krishna identifies himself with the Supreme Being, he remembers it all but Arjuna who is only attached to his body, has forgotten. Sri Krishna explains that he is eternal and can appear within matter at will as he is Immortal Self. Sri Krishna expresses why he appears as an avatar and this is due to the lack of righteousness on the planet.   Translation used: The Bhagavad Gita Comes Alive: A Radical Translation by Jeffrey Armstrong Available here on AmazonIf you would like to dwell deeper in the Bhagavad Gita, I recommend Swami Gambhirananda's translation with Adi Shankara ji's commentary: Available here on AmazonI hope you enjoyed listening to the 30th episode of the Thoughts on The Bhagavad Gita and if you are interested in listening to more episodes like this on further chapters and verses, or on Non-Duality, or you want to learn more about the wisdom of the Mystics please follow/subscribe to this Podcast. Please rate and write a review for this Podcast on https://www.thebeardedmysticpodcast.com/reviews/new/ it will be greatly appreciated.New episodes will be available every Sunday. If you would like to attend a free weekly meditation with me, join my Whatsapp group:https://chat.whatsapp.com/DcdnuDMeRnW53E0seVp28bSubscribe to the free monthly The Bearded Mystic Newsletter: http://thebeardedmysticpodcast.substack.comSubscribe to The Bearded Mystic Podcast Communityhttps://www.patreon.com/thebeardedmysticpodcastYou can find links to Live Streams, Podcast, Videos etc: https://linktr.ee/thebeardedmysticpodcastYou can follow me and contact me on social media:Website: https://www.thebeardedmysticpodcast.com/TikTok: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMdk3HPJh/Discord: https://discord.gg/4DbureZw8yInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/thebeardedmysticpodcast/Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/c/TheBeardedMysticPodcast/Twitter: https://twitter.com/bearded_mysticFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/The-BeHunting Game Just a couple of good ol boys talking about the great outdoors!
