Description

Brandon Puffer was a former professional baseball pitcher. He was selected in the 27th round of the 1994 MLB Draft by the Minnesota Twins. After stints with the Angels, Reds and Rockies, Puffer signed with the Astros and made his MLB debut on April 17, 2002. He also had stints with the Red Sox, Padres and Giants.  In 2008, Puffer's baseball career ended when he was arrested for burglary of a habitation with the intent to commit a felony. Puffer was found guilty in 2009 and sentenced to five years in prison. He made parole in 2011 after more than three years in prison and since then has restored his life and is back in baseball as the co-founder of GPS Texas Baseball where he is a pitching instructor and coach.  Today on the podcast, we talk to Brandon Puffer about his love for baseball, making it to the Big Leagues, being arrested, his time in prison and how God has redeemed and restored him for a new purpose in life.  Receive our 10-day Sports Spectrum Devotional written by professional athletes for FREE when you sign up for our Sports Spectrum Weekly Email Newsletter.
