It has been reported that Michael Conforto will in fact decline the qualifying offer from the New York Mets and officially become a free agent. Conforto's market may be down after a bad season, but agent Scott Boras obviously believes he can find a better deal for his 28-year-old free agent than the $18.4 million they are turning down.
