Unfortunately the big news was that another top pitching prospect has been sent to greener pastures, as Brodie Van Wagenen dealt last year's minor league pitcher of the year Kevin Smith to Baltimore. In exchange the Orioles traded veteran reliever Miguel Castro to the Mets.
