She left PP after she was asked to assist with an abortion. It was the first time she saw the gory reality of what she was selling to women as the clinic director. She also left due to the ministry of 40 Days for Life and former podcast guest Shawn Carney. She was depicted as the main character in the pro-life movie Unplanned. She’s also the author of books like Unplanned, The Walls are Talking: Former Abortion Clinic Workers Tell Their Stories, and Fierce Mercy: Daring to Live Out God’s Compassion in Bold and Practical Ways.
