Description

What would it feel like to be a financial grownup? I share a bit more in the episode, but I grew up in a family where we openly talked about stock investments, wealth, and growing your money, even from an early age. However, I missed some important lessons around saving money, how to deal with debt, and honestly realistic expectations of how much money you make post-college. I did what you probably did, just figure it all out. However, I know you want more for yourself and for your kids…or future kids. You may recognize Bobbi Rebell’s name from previous episodes. She’s a Certified Financial Planner and is the author of Launching Financial Grownups: Live Your Riches Life By Helping Your (Almost) Adult Kids Become Everyday Money Smart. She’s also a fellow podcaster with her show Money Tips for Financial Grownups. Bobbi is here to share insights from her book on how to launch financial grownups, money lessons you need to know, and how to talk to your parents and kids all about money.LinksLaunching Financial Grownups bookMoney Tips for Financial Grownups podcastGrownup GearEpisode SponsorsThanks to Chime for sponsoring the show. Let’s be real, most people don’t like talking about sex or politics, and money is the biggest taboo topic of them all. The Millennial Money podcast flips the script on the “old school” approach to money. Relatable, inspiring, and a little bit gritty, host and award-winning Certified Financial Planner Shannah Compton Game helps listeners uncover their money story to see past the numbers to unlock the lives they want to live. Each week Millennial Money creates a safe space by talking with special guests from around the world discussing money wellness, entrepreneurship, traveling like a boss, and what makes millennials tick. By sharing stories from different perspectives and walks of life, listeners discover what works for them and leave their money worries at the door.
