Description

The first credible study of the profile of podcast creators in America, put together by Sounds Profitable, in partnership with Edison Research - and of course, Elsie and Jess break it down for you! Sounds Profitable, in partnership with Edison Research, has put together the first credible study of the profile of podcast creators in America. This is an incredibly important benchmark in the history of podcasting and the first of many regular reports Sounds Profitable will be publishing to chart the future of the audio business. This report looks at the characteristics and behaviors of the persons creating podcasts in America and includes demographic information as well as behavioral data, content preferences, and attitudes about monetization and advertising. Download the slide deck BIPOC Podcast Creators have created a social media campaign called, Podcasters United, to show solidarity with women and pregnant people who are and will be irrevocably harmed by the removal of our rights, and to bring attention and resources to the people on the front lines of this fight who are supporting our impacted communities. If you're looking for *quick* and succinct tips on how to podcast, grow your audience, and monetize your show this is NOT the show for you. Will you get all that from this show? Absolutely! And a lot more, but not in way you expect. THERE IS A LOT OF CHIT CHAT AND NOT GETTING TO THE POINT. This show is a personality driven show hosted by powerhouses and podcasting industry experts Jessica Kupferman and Elsie Escobar (supported by their producer John.) They will give you insightful, wise, expert advice about all aspects about the podcasting industry, from advertising and sponsorships, to the latest and greatest microphones and workflows, to how the podcasting industry is failing and thriving. You will also get the reality of what it takes to podcast as working from home women and moms running their own businesses and supporting a vibrant community of women podcasters of over 12k members. If you don't like chit chat, banter and feeling like you're hanging out with Elsie and Jess at their kitchen table (or eavesdropping on them) while they drop some brilliant wisdom about podcasting (and possibly 800 other subjects), go ahead and save yourself some time and move along now.
