Noah Baumbach and Lulu Wang may miss out on Best Director nominations, but will the Academy reward them with screenplay nods for Marriage Story and The Farewell?Will Joker crack the Adapted Screenplay lineup, or will it prove too crowded this year, with Netflix poised to secure two slots thanks to The Irishman and The Two Popes. Elsewhere, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Parasite are expected to compete for Best Original Screenplay, while the Mister Rogers movie A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood is aiming for an Adapted Screenplay nod.
