STORY 1
Stocks fell Thursday from record highs …
The Dow dropped about half a percent.
The S&P lost almost six tenths percent.
And the NASDAQ was down more than six tenths percent.
STORY 2
Before a blast in Afghanistan killed 12 American service members and injured many more, investors were watching the gathering of the Federal Reserve that began Thursday in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Chair Jerome Powell will speak Friday … offering clues about when the Fed might pull back on measures to stimulate the economy.

STORY 3
The governor of Illinois has announced all health care workers in the state … and educators … from kindergarten through college … must be vaccinated or tested weekly. The announcement came as Texas governor Greg Abbot signed an executive order BANNING vaccine mandates.
