Historic moment for the United States as President Donald Trump becomes the third president in American history to be impeached. Both articles- Abuse of Power and Obstruction of Congress, passed along party lines. The next step is to move to a trial in the Senate in the new year where Republicans have said they will not remove him from office, Ginger Gibson, political reporter for Reuters joins us to talk about the impeachment vote, and the legacy of President Trump and Nancy Pelosi.




Next, some new findings from the Monitoring the Future survey. Teenagers are drinking less alcohol, smoking fewer cigarettes, and trying fewer hard drugs. But while these trends are good news, there has been a sharp increase in the vaping of nicotine and marijuana. The survey looks at eighth, 10th and 12th graders and says that young people have gotten the wrong message on vaping, thinking that it is not harmful. Matt Richtel, reporter for the NY Times, joins us for what the survey shows, youth drug use and experimentation continues to go through an evolution.
