Next, an investigation done by Columbia Journalism Investigations is showing that many popular dating apps do not conduct any criminal background or identity verification checks and known sex offenders have been found using these apps and assaulting women. Tinder, Plenty of Fish, OkCupid and other free dating apps owned my Match Group are not checking users and potentially leaving some vulnerable to sexual assault. Elizabeth Picciani, a fellow at Columbia Journalism Investigations joins us for more on this story and what happens when you report an instance to Match Group.
