President Trump has ordered the Pentagon not to remove Chief Petty Officer Edward Gallagher from the Navy SEALs. Gallagher was at the center of a high-profile war crimes case where he was convicted of posing for photographs with the body of a teenage ISIS captive. Navy Secretary Richard Spencer also resigned over the issue because he reportedly proposed a private compromise with the White House that would have let Gallagher retire despite the outcome of an upcoming peer-review process. Wesley Morgan, military affairs reporter for Politico, joins us for all the details.
