Description

Matt Prehm and Erik Skopil try and put into context how impressive Oregon's 37-15 victory over Utah was in the Pac-12 Championship Game.
The Ducks dominated from start to finish against what was thought to be the league's best team in the No. 6 ranked Utes.
The Ducks won the Pac-12 Championship for the third time in program history, and the first time since the 2014 season. The Ducks also won it's 12 conference title in school history in the process.
The win clinches Oregon's eighth Rose Bowl Game apperance in program history.
The Ducks 15.7 points allowed per game is the lowest in school history since the 1966 season, and the fewest in a season with at least 12 games dating back to 1988. The offense finished with 432 yards of total offense with 239 yards on the ground. Utah came into the game allowing just 241.6 yards per game and 56.2 yards on the ground per game.
MVP and Oregon running back C.J. Verdell rushed for 208 yards and three touchdowns on just 18 carries. The 70-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter was the longest in the history of the Pac-12 Championship Game, and his three scores tied the game's most. His 208 yards were the second-most rushing yards behind Oregon running back LaMichael James' 219 against UCLA in the 2011 game.
