In August 1887, the simmering feud heats up to a boil when the notorious Blevins family becomes an ally of the Graham family. When a member of the Blevins family disappears, a search party finds itself in a deadly shootout with a Tewsbury brother. A Tewksbury ally discovers that his ranch has been burned, and then a Graham brother suffers a terrible wound during an early-morning ambush.
