Description

We might as well call this episode “weird science” with all the crazy coincidences we stumble upon up top. The super knowledgable science, climate and environmental correspondent, Arielle Duhaime-Ross (VICE News Tonight on HBO), joins us to dyke out about the big issues impacting the most vulnerable communities. It’s a fascinating conversation about communities that are rapidly changing because of changes in the environment and policies that are meant to slow those changes. She also shares her journey from hanging out overnight in the cold with salamanders to traveling the world for VICE media, and what it’s like to be a queer, gender non-conforming person in the field. This episode is crazy (the coincidences), interesting, depressing, hopeful, fun, thoughtful – there’s something for everyone! Oh, and just so you know, Arielle’s mom is NOT friends with Gordon Lightfoot.

Hosted by New York City-based comedians Carolyn Bergier & Melody Kamali, Dyking Out is a podcast about lesbian / queer life, news, and pop culture. Each week, Carolyn and Melody invite a special guest (comedians, musicians, actors, crushes) to dyke out with them about a topic that's relevant to the LGBTQIA world. But really, it's just another way to advance the gay agenda.
