Bernie Gurr's experiences in Rugby League over the last 40 years are rivalled by very few. Bernie played for the Roosters in the late 70's and early 80's, he later went on to be the CEO of the Roosters during the biggest period of change in the foundation clubs history, 1993-2003. This period is headlined by the arrival of the great Brad Fittler. Just over ten years later Bernie would return to Rugby League as the CEO of the struggling Parramatta Eels, working in partnership with Brad Arthur they have turned the club around on and off the field. A great leader always leaves a building in a better state then when they arrived, Bernie has done this at both clubs. Bernie's brilliant business mind paired with his impressive knowledge of our great game is an extremely rare combination that we simply don't see enough of in 2020.
