For the first time since April 13, the Boston Red Sox have won a series!
The Red Sox took two of three from the Texas Rangers over the weekend on the backs of strong pitching from Nick Pivetta and Rich Hill with offense from J.D. Martinez -- who extended his hitting streak to 16 games Sunday -- Xander Bogaerts, Rafael Devers and Franchy Cordero.
NESN's Lauren Campbell recaps the weekend and looks at Sunday's bullpen game after Ryan Brasier struggled mightily in his one-inning outing. Lauren wonders whether it was worth calling up someone from Worcester for Sunday, specifically Connor Seabold who turned in another strong outing for the WooSox on this weekend.
Lauren also looks into the report that Xander Bogaerts would be willing to listen to a "fair" deal on an extension with the Red Sox and why it's important Boston gets it done ASAP.
