WSJ Ran a report of the "shadow crew" of billionaires and trolls egging on Elon Musk to Buy twitter. Elon mocked the idea because they basically said that Elon talked to people he knew.

When the left engages in influence peddling and buying its called a whacky theory but when Elon makes moves its a shadow crew.
