Purbayan Chatterjee, one of the topmost sitar maestros of the world, chats with Host Eva Bhatt about his musical training in the Senia Maihar Gharana, his love for the sitar & his various international collaborations.

In his latest album, ‘Unbounded – Abaad’, he bridges musical worlds with artists from India, Afghanistan, US and UK, merging local flavours of Latin, jazz, folk, country, Sufi tradition, Western & Hindustani classical music. Global masters like Ustad Zakir Hussain (tabla), V. Selvaganesh (kanjira), U. Rajesh, Shankar Mahadevan (vocals), Deepak Pandit (violin), Béla Fleck (banjo), Jordan Rudess (keyboard) & many others are a part of this album.

Recipient of the Indian President awards & Aditya Vikram Birla award, he talks about ‘Shastriya Syndicate’ – the first Indian classical band with a contemporary touch, how he blends different worlds in music & some more lessons for music lovers.
