Description

This week on Wrestling Omakase it's our full preview of the upcoming Mega Puro Weekend! John is joined by returning guests Taylor (@tamaimbo) and ex-Burning Spirits co-host Kevin Hare (@stan__hansen) to preview four huge shows from Japan. Before they get into the shows there's a bit of Japanese travel chat as Kevin will actually be heading overseas for the first time to attend the three events at Sumo Hall, so we discuss his trip as well as give some thoughts and memories from John and Taylor's previous journeys as well. Before diving into the shows John also announces the results from last week's 2019 Omakase Fantasy Draft, and we discuss possible goals for the different companies when it comes to drawing fans and what the attendances might end up looking like in the end. Then we get going with the previews, starting first with Pro Wrestling NOAH's Sumo Hall show on 11/2. Hear our full thoughts on what we think of Kiyamiya-Kenoh as a main event, some wacky names on the undercard, whether or not AXIZ should be considered Tag Team of the Year contenders and more! Then we discuss the announced matches for NJPW's 11/3 Osaka show, Power Struggle. What do we think of the Okada-Ibushi build so far and where does the tag match on this show fit in? How about Naito-Taichi, Ishii-KENTA and White-Goto? Then we head to DDT, first with a quick rundown of their 10/27 go home show from Korakuen Hall including a couple great matches and a whole lot of build up. Then we break down the entire 11/3 Ultimate Party card in detail, including all fourteen (yes, really!) matches! What do we think of Kenny Omega's usage on the show and where could we see him going from here in DDT? Finally we wrap things up with a quick preview of Big Japan's Ryogokutan show on 11/4, the last of the three Sumo Hall shows, including sounding the alarm bells for NXT Japan. A fun preview episode of some major upcoming puroresu, this week!Support Wrestling Omakase with a donation through Red Circle! All donations are split with that week's guest.
