He graduated from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center San Antonio and completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Michigan. He is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, the International College of Oral Implantologists, and is a member of the Southwest Academy of Restorative Dentistry. He is also an instructor at the MOD Institute in Charleston, South Carolina.
