Description

Dr. Kathryn Sullivan is a distinguished scientist, astronaut, leader and teacher. She was one of the first six women to join the NASA astronaut corps in 1978 and is the first American woman to walk in space. Sullivan flew on three space shuttle missions during her 15-year NASA tenure, including the 1990 mission that deployed the Hubble Space Telescope. She has also been recognized as one of the 46 distinguished First Women by Time Magazine, the 15 Women Changing the World by the World Economic Forum, and Time’s 100 Most Influential People and is the author of the children’s book To the Stars! and Handprints on Hubble, An Astronaut’s Story of Invention. And, funny enough, she began her career studying not the reach of space, but the depths of the ocean.-------------Have you discovered your Sparketype yet? Take the Sparketype Assessment™ now.
