Description

Learning to tame your money anxiety takes some practice. I’m a big fan of this episode because I will be the first to raise my hand and shout, “I have money anxiety.” Our guest, Emily Rose, is here to enlighten us all on this topic of money anxiety. Emily is a school psychologist, yoga teacher, author of the journal Write it to Right it, and also runs the blog, MissMagnoliaSays.com. As Emily says, we all have anxiety around money, but for each of us, that looks a little different. Our biggest anxieties tend to come from the comparison trap - you know the “shoulds.” We’re all familiar with the “shoulds,” right? I should know how to invest, I should do this with my money, I should have a good credit score or I should own a house right now. It’s completely normal to run through the laundry list of things you should’ve done. In fact, Emily’s overall message is that having anxiety is actually normal. See, we all have anxious thoughts around money and that’s ok. In this episode, Emily helps you understand how anxiety might be showing up for you, ways to recognize those anxious thoughts, and some practical exercises to help you when you feel your money worries bubbling to the surface.LinksMissmagnoliasays blogWrite It To Right It JournalMoney Mindset JournalEpisode SponsorsA big thank you to all our sponsors who make this show possible:Try EveryPlate for just $1.79 per meal by going to http://www.everyplate.com and entering code mymoney179. · Give yourself – and your wallet – a break.
