Description
Terence MacSwiney was elected Lord Mayor of Cork in 1920. Shortly after, he was sentenced to 2ys in a British prison. He began a hunger strike in protest - which drew international attention and lasted 74 days. He died on Oct 20th 1920 (Broadcast 1960)
