The Jedi standard training in regards to Force sensitive children was to begin at a very early age. If Obi-Wan knew that Luke was the last best chance of the Jedi and that training Luke at a younger age would follow Jedi protocols, then why did he wait so long to train Luke. There would have been so many benefits with raising Luke in the Light Side of the Force. He could have grown in power versus the hurry up training we saw in A New Hope.
