Soon, after his father's passing, Hans' uncle took him deer hunting, hoping that would help take his mind off the loss of his father. They went hunting by the Goshen Swamp, in Duplin County, North Carolina, near Hans' home. While watching for deer that day, he wound up seeing something he never expected to see.
