Description
This week on SOFREP Radio, we are pleased to welcome Gary Powers Jr.
Gary Powers is the son of Francis Gary Powers, the U-2 Spy Plane pilot who was shot down over the Soviet Union in 1960 during a reconnaissance mission. Growing up, Gary never really knew the historical importance of the U-2 Incident or what his father really did. It wasn't until his death in 1977 that Gary started to untangle the myths from the truth and learn about his father's military history.
In this scintillating episode, Gary Powers Jr. unpacks his father's legacy, the Cold War and his book Spy Pilot: Francis Gary Powers, the U-2 Incident, and a Controversial Cold War Legacy.
