Then, it's time for this week's bake along, a Black Bottom Oatmeal Pie from Four & Twenty Blackbirds that's a riff on a Preheated favorite: A desperation pie (this one pumped up with a layer of bittersweet chocolate). Finally, your intrepid sleuths ... er, hosts ... get down to the (flaky) bottom of your most pesky pastry predicaments, solving the many mysteries you may encounter on your road to perfect pies.
