Description

This is a replay of an old episode with the brilliant Joe Lycett. This was first recorded in 2017 at the Hodder & Storton offices which is the publisher Joe and I both share for our books! This was when his hilarious book Parsnips, Buttered first came out - we chatted about the book and his career to date - and since this interview 4 years ago, it’s been so amazing watching Joe’s career has gone from strength to strength - he’s also a firm favourite on instagram - in 2018 he hit the road with his biggest tour to date I’m About To Lose Control and I Think Joe Lycett over 90 shows performed and in 2019 he become the new host of BBC2’s The Great British Sewing Bee and hosting the his own comedy consumer affairs show, Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back on Channel 4. He has has been confirmed as the new host of Channel 4’s long-running travel documentary series, Travel Man. Hope you enjoy this walk down memory lane! Enjoy!

This is not a traditional career podcast. It’s a podcast for people who’ve looked at their interests to shape the work they do. What does it mean to be a philosopher? How is Big Tech affecting us? How do you combine activism with being the editor of a magazine? Award-winning author Emma Gannon has a gentle line of questioning that starts with work, and ends up wherever the conversations lead. Named Best Business podcast by Vuelio, Ctrl Alt Delete is a gateway into new ideas – with over 5million downloads and past guests including Alain de Botton, Dame Steve Shirley and Mrs Hinch.
