Manchester United are held by Real Sociedad but progress in the Europa League with a tasty tie against AC Milan to follow and then fail to score against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. That result leaves United second in the Premier League and looking down rather than up, one point ahead of Leicester, four ahead of West Ham and six ahead of Chelsea. It's a decent position but it feels like yet another missed opportunity and yet another underwhelming game from a United who have rarely impressed since the turn of the year.
