Description

Well, I might as well go ahead and tell you that my sound is weird on this episode. Surely you aren't surprised. And if nothing else it will be a nice throwback to Wolfman Jack's studio circa 1974. By the way, you get all sorts of bonus points if you're up to speed on that Wolfman Jack reference. Regardless of sound ish-ahs (for when-oh-when have those ever stopped us?), on this episode we recap our recent trip to Oklahoma and talk for a really long time about all the food we ate while we were there. It's sort of like listening to Bubba Gump talk about all the varieties of shrimp except we didn't actually eat any shrimp. We eventually work our way around to a brief discussion of Southern Charm as well as my thoughts about Spindrift Orange Mango sparkling water. It's all very thrilling. This episode will also bring you one of the very best Melanie comments ever. In fact, it might be my favorite: "I so enjoy just eating hot versions of cheese." Please do enjoy. Show Notes: - Pawhuska, Oklahoma - The Pioneer Woman Boarding House - P-town Pizza - The Spicy Cowgirl (we cannot overstate the deliciousness) - The Mercantile - Yesterday - Southern Charm - Melanie's favorite gumbo recipe - Gran's Strawberry Cake - Buttercream Frosting for Strawberry Cake - Spindrift Orange Mango  - Melanie's silk sleeping mask  Sponsors: - FabFitFun (promo code BIGBOO for 20% off your first subscription box) - The Big Boo Amazon Shop (affiliate links to help power the engine of ye olde podcast)
