Description
On Tuesday, July 5th, 1966, a young woman and young man checked into the Ropers Motel in Pecos, Texas. Hours later, the guests and staff were startled by the sounds of flailing slashes and screams for help at the motel’s pool. They rushed to the scene, only to find the young woman who’d just checked in submerged in the oasis, lifeless. She was rushed to the hospital and her companion was notified of what happened. He never arrived at the hospital and there were no clues as to the identity of the victim. For over fifty years, investigators in Pecos, and the residents themselves, have been haunted by the question: Who is Pecos Jane Doe?
