Description
Today's podcast guest is Melody Miller. Living in Atlanta, GA, Melody is the Creative Director and Founding Designer of Cotton and Steel, author of Ruby Star Wrapping, wife and mother. Since the debut of Cotton and Steel at the Spring 2014 Quilt Market, Melody has been at the forefront of a powerful commitment to the modern aesthetic. I wanted to hear how she created Cotton and Steel, her thoughts on fabric design and her personal and professional vision. While we talk about those questions and more are discussed in the podcast, I also came away with confirmation of the power of collaboration, the importance of pursuing your dreams and how friends can push you to be your vest best. I am grateful to the Modern Quilt Guild for providing a place to podcast at Quilt Con. It gave Melody and I an opportunity to record in person and Quilt con participants a behind the scenes glimpse at the recording process. I hope you enjoy our conversation.
