Description

March 2, 2018 MBR& Show Page ABOUT THIS EPISODE Joshua Kleve is the League Director of the Minnesota High School Cycling League. He joins the show to share a little bit about himself, his role with the league, and details of what the league has going on these days. Joshua gives you a glimpse into his riding and coaching past. He also gives you a history of the league, details the current status, and shares some thoughts about where it’s all going. We are going to be diving further into youth cycling in 2018, so if you’re a coach of any of the NICA leagues, we’d love to have you join the show to share what you have going on in your part of the world. Do you have a person or company you want to hear on Mountain Bike Radio? Our mission is to build strong bodies, strong minds and strong character through cycling, regardless of ability level. Simply put, we get kids on bikes. Student-athletes from 7th through 12th grade come from all corners of the state to participate in races and programs. The majority of these kids have never ridden a mountain bike, let alone raced prior to participating in the league.  Our association has grown from just over a hundred riders to over 1,500 riders! The MN League has become more than a racing program, we are a youth development program. Each year we get hundreds of new student-athletes, coaches, volunteers and spectators. We firmly believe that cycling and an outdoor experience will leave a lasting impression on young minds and bodies. -------------  RELATED SHOW LINKS Thanks to HealthIQ for sponsoring this episode: HealthIQ.com/MBR Support Mountain Bike Radio by shopping through our Amazon Affiliate Link: http://amzn.to/1SC3svC Minnesota High School Cycling League website: http://www.minnesotamtb.org Minnesota High School Cycling League on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MinnesotaMTB Minnesota High School Cycling League on Twitter: https://twitter.com/@MinnesotaMTB Minnesota High School Cycling League on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/minnesotahighschoolmtb National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA): http://www.nationalmtb.org Mountain Bike Radio Links: Shop via our Amazon Affiliate Link: http://amzn.to/1SC3svCGo to the Mountain Bike Radio Store: https://shopmbr.com/Become a Mountain Bike Radio Member: http://mountainbikeradio.bigcartel.com/category/mbr-memberships Mountain Bike Radio Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/MountainBikeRadioMountain Bike Radio on Twitter: https://twitter.com/MtnBikeRadioMountain Bike Radio on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mtnbikeradio/Mountain Bike Radio on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYE6EAkjP_dmm94_HbKya0Q
