Description
Sermon delivered on Sunday, November 25, 2012, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Rev. Marlin Lavanhar, Senior Minister.
SERMON DESCRIPTION
One thing I’ve learned since moving to Oklahoma is how to “bless people’s hearts.” This is not a phrase one hears often on the East Coast. I’ve discovered that you can say just about anything about a person here in Oklahoma as long as you begin or end your sentence with “bless their heart.” And as families come together for the holidays we know there will be a lot of hearts being blessed. In December, as we kick off Peace as our theme, we will explore how to achieve inner peace in the midst of conflict and tension. We will even look at some real strategies for diffusing some of the conflicts that can arise between people at this time of year. If you cannot make it this Sunday, then bless your heart. But if you can, it may just bless your life. May peace be with you today and always.
