Description

The sermon was delivered on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Bishop Carlton D. Pearson, Affiliate Minister. SERMON DESCRIPTION The concept of hell is the most psychologically and emotionally debilitating concepts in human psychology, theology and philosophy. It has produced a kind of global psychosis and mental illness that has crippled and, all but paralyzed, the development of planetary peace and co-existence. After 50 years of believing and buying into the doctrine of eternal judgement and biblical torment, I stopped believing in such an aberrant concept, and I can assure you that there is a positive, practical, and spiritual life without the traditional teachings of infinite weeping, wailing, and gnashing of the teeth we’ve been taught the last 2000 years. Join us at All Souls where we are continuing to discuss the idea of Life Beyond Hell.
